Please join us for our final Parent Council meeting of the 2010-11 school year. We will announce election results and form committees for next year. Your participation is vital to a healthy Parent Council for next year.

Parent Council Election
You will receive an email soon that will link to the online ballot for the election of our Parent Council Board for 2011-12. We encourage everyone to vote. Whether you are running for a position on the Parent Council or not, every parent is invited and encouraged to attend Parent Council meetings and add your voice to our discussions.

Town Hall Meeting Update
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend last Saturday's Town Hall Meeting. For those of you who were unable to attend, but sent in your feedback thru Parent Council or Administration, it was very appreciated. As you will now have heard, the decision for any schedule changes for next year (2011-12) will remain focused on addressing the concerns regarding the late-start Friday schedule (plans have not been announced yet). There are no plans to adopt a semesterization schedule for next year. However we encourage parents to continue to share their ideas on how we can make LACHSA a richer learning environment for our children.
A paraphrased transcript of Saturday's Q&A session will be posted on the Parent Council website, as well as other supporting documents, so that those unable to attend can better understand the discussion. We will let you know when everything is posted online.

Attention all Seniors and Juniors! Prom sales have been extended until Tuesday, May 24th for the price of $100. We will cap the event at 250, and we have 205 sold thus far. We have changed rooms at the Biltmore Hotel to the Bowl room due to the high demand for the prom, so we can now seat more students. So buy your tickets by Tuesday with the Accountants in the Main Office.
Remember to have your checks made out to LACHSA. ** Remember that Guest Passes are due in Ms. Hernandez's box (signed by a LACHSA Administrator and with a copy of your guest's ID) no later than Monday, 5/23, at 4pm. Passes received after this date will not be allowed to attend the event and no refunds will be given."
