Greetings!

Congratulations on beginning your journey with LACHSA and LACHSA's Parent Council.  We want to welcome you and invite your participation to some very important events coming in the next few weeks and months.
What is the Parent Council?

The mission of LACHSA's Parent Council is to support the school's students, parents, administration, teachers and Arts High Foundation by:

 

  • Serving as a liaison between LACHSA's students, parents, administration and staff, academic teachers and arts departments' chairs.
  • Promoting and publicizing our students' academic and school-related arts activities both within the LACHSA community and to the general public
  • Supporting LACHSA's fund raising efforts
  • Coordinating volunteers for all school activities
  • Sponsoring, promoting and facilitating programs of interest to the LACHSA community

Walk for the Arts Planning Committee Needs YOU!

 

In October 2011 we will be hosting our 2nd Annual Walk for the Arts walk-a-thon.  This is our major fundraiser of the school year.  We are looking for new parents who would like to be part of the planning stages of this event.  Meetings will be scheduled over the next few months, including over the summer, in preparation for our campaign launch in September 2011.

We are very excited to have you join Parent Council and partner with us in the coming year.  We look forward to meeting you soon.

Free Student Ticket 

LACHSA Parent Council is giving all incoming students one free ticket to LACHSA'S biggest event of the year at the Walt Disney Concert Hall.  

The LACHSA Graduation is a Commencement Performance showcasing the best of the Class of 2011 on Friday, June 17.  An event not to be missed!
