Thank you again for the support of the LACHSA students silent art auction to benefit the LA-based New Directions Homeless Veterans program. The event at SPACE art gallery in South Pasadena was a huge success - the girls raised $1,800 for New Directions. Toni Reinis, the Executive Director of New Directions, said, "What an awesome event. The artwork, the music, food and company were all wonderful." Attached is a photo of our daughter Rachel Arena with the New Directions Executive Director - Toni Reinis, and the girls who helped her organize the event -- Melanie Wolf, (Rachel), Toni Reinis (New Directions), and Phoebe Leshay, and Lillye Hope Dlugach.
Contributing artists were the following LACHSA students -- Rachel Arena, Shaheen Beardsley, Lillye Hope Dlugach, Tucker Elkins, Tess Elbettar, Sienna Fekete, Phoebe Leshay, Julian McLean, Nico Orosco, Emma Rudman, Nylah Scypion, Lachlan Turczan, Melanie Wolf, Grace Xue, Christina Yang and Lucia Zezza.
In addition, several LACHSA students provided music and enthralled guests with their singing and guitar playing. Music was provided by Lilliana Villines, Zack Bilson, Tia Kearns and Lillye Hope.
