Dear LACHSA Community,

Our commencement ceremony or graduation is the capstone event for our students at LACHSA.  This celebration, marking the completion of this major achievement in the young lives of our artist-scholars, is unique to commencement ceremonies in its grandeur and majesty. 

The typical high school commencement, usually presented in an auditorium or gymnasium and featuring adequate pomp and circumstance, presents the graduating class, but little else.  LACHSA's graduation elevates this experience exponentially.  With Walt Disney Concert Hall as our setting and our graduates our focus, LACHSA's graduation explodes with the energy and dynamism of LACHSA itself.  Our graduating class, featuring the broad array of artistic disciplines, shines with unrivaled brilliance.  Our students are simply at their best as the artistry of every graduate is miraculously featured.

While LACHSA's graduation is rightly focused on the graduating class, All members of our community--from our newly accepted families to our alumni--are encouraged to join in this amazing celebration.  All families at every grade level are welcome and encouraged to attend this year's ceremony.  LACHSA's graduation is above all else a celebration of our amazing community. 

Directly preceding graduation this year will be a pre-graduation Alumni Tea.  This reception is open to all, but is designed as a LACHSA all-years alumni event.  In partnership with the alumni association, alumni from throughout our history are invited to renew connections, visit with faculty and staff, and reengage with LACHSA.  I hope that this alumni gathering will become a new tradition at LACHSA.

LACHSA's commencement is being sponsored by the generous support and dedication of the LACHSA Parent Council.  Our Parent Council has crafted a plan to sustain LACHSA's graduation (see below).  To meet the needs to graduates and their families, this plan is very detailed.  Please read over the instructions very carefully.

On behalf of the entire LACHSA community, I wish to thank the LACHSA Parent Council.  Their steadfast commitment to and support of this event is essential for this tradition to continue.

A note from the LACHSA Parent Council 

Gratefully, the LA County Board of Supervisors have granted access to the Disney Concert Hall at no rental cost; however, labor charges and associated fees will exceed $35,000 for this years' graduation.  It is our sincere hope that the LACHSA community will rally and meet, if not exceed the challenge of raising the necessary funds.  In an effort to hold the venue we are offering the tickets ahead of time so please tell everyone you know to attend, donate, and support in every possible way.  We rely only on ticket donations exclusively to reach the $35,000 goal.

 

Graduation Ticket Information   

(Information and all Tickets are only available at  www.lachsa.netclick Box Office. 

$60 Gold Section

April 1st through April 30th, 2011  

Priority Gold seats will be available for purchase by anyone.  Seating is limited!

 

$35 Silver Section and $25 Bronze Section (For seniors only) 

April 16th through April 30th, 2011

 

Exclusive Silver and Bronze seats will be available to graduating seniors only.  Additionally, seniors may select only two (2) seats from the Silver or Bronze Sections, free of charge, by using their personal four (4) digit student number as the promo code.  This student number can be found on the report card or call the main office 323-343-2550 to get it.  Enter this student number as your promo code upon check out.   

 

For best seating seniors should select their two free seats prior to May 1st, 2011.

 

 

$60 Gold, $35 Silver, and $25 Bronze (Open to entire community) 

May 1st through June 17th (12:00 p.m.) 

 

All seats will be available to all current and incoming students, family and friends for all sections. 

 

$15 Pre-Graduation Alumni Tea 

April 1st - June 17th, 2011                                     

 

Come early and enjoy a few light appetizers and hot or cold teas by Patina Caterers inside the Disney Concert Hall prior to the graduation.  Interact with Alumni, Staff & Faculty!  Alumni are invited to the 12:45pm Pre-Graduation Afternoon Tea and may select seats at a special price, contact the Alumni Association to get discount promo code.

 

Please note: This ticket may only be purchased for $15 with the purchase of any Gold, Silver, or Bronze ticket.

Please note: Tickets and discount parking passes will be mailed out to the address input online for all purchases made by June 7th.   For tickets purchased after June 7th, 2011 you must come to will call the day of graduation at Disney Concert Hall to pick up.
