Dallas Russell, beloved LACHSA math teacher passed away unexpectedly yesterday at his home.  Mr. Russell  was a champion of our students and an inspiration to students and staff alike.  Many of us remember his can-do spirit, positive attitude, and unfailing attendance at every student performance, exhibition, and event.  He will be greatly missed by all of us.

Students have been told about Mr. Russell's untimely death although details surrounding the cause are still unclear.  We are working with a team of school psychologists and counselors from LACOE to support our students, faculty, and staff in this very difficult time.

Many of our students and staff are discussing ways to preserve the memory of Dallas Russell.  Please know that we will ensure that Mr. Russell's enduring legacy will forever be a part of this school.

We are still formulating plans for our school-wide memorial service and I will share information as it becomes available.  I want you to know of our loss so that, if your child talks with you about this, you will be better able to respond.
