Dear Seniors Families,

As the end of year festivities build up to our graduation, I wanted to remind you of some important information. 

Senior Awards Celebration
Wednesday, June 9th
6:00 p.m.
CSULA Golden Eagle Ballroom

Refreshments, awards, scholarships, senior gifts a celebration of the Class of 2010.  All seniors are required to attend.  Parents encouraged to attend as well.  Come celebrate the Class of 2010!

Last Regular Day for Seniors

Thursday, June 10th is the last regular day for seniors.

Caps and Gowns
Seniors will be able to pick up their Cap and Gown on Tuesday, June 15th 12:30 - 1:30 in the main office.

Graduation Rehearsal
Thursday, June 17th
8:00 - 5:00 p.m.
Walt Disney Concert Hall

All students are to arrive directly to Walt Disney Concert Hall.  All students must bring a lunch for this date as students will not be permitted to leave the concert hall.  More detailed rehearsal information will be provided to the seniors.

Grad Nite

Thursday, June 10th

Please read this important message from Ms. Diana Hernandez:

Attention All Students Attending GradNite,

We hope you have a wonderful time at this year's GradNite on Thursday, June 10th. To see that you do, here are few guidelines to follow:

Permission Slips and Guest Clearance Forms must be accurately and completely filled out and submitted to Ms. Hernandez by Monday, May 7th at 8:00 AM in order to attend GradNite, failure to do so will result in a forfeit of your ticket and No Refunds will be provided. Permission slips have been passed out during school if you require an additional permission slip please go to the Main Office to obtain one.

Remember GradNite is from 8:30 PM-7:30 APM at Disneyland, the bus will depart promptly at 8:30PM from the Music Building Parking Lot. So please arrive early. Students will be dropped off at this same location Friday morning. Dinner will not be provided so it is recommended that you eat dinner before arriving at school. Disneyland will be selling some food and snacks at the park so bring money if you wish to purchase any food or souvenirs. Remember there will be many students from across California attending this event so keep your personal belongings close to you at all time and be on the watch out for pick pocketers.

Parking: If you are parking your car overnight Thursday night you must park on F LOT. If you have a Semester Pass please park on the bottom floor. If you do not have a Semester Pass you must purchase a Daily Pass from the parking Kiosk and park your car on the top floor of F LOT. In order to avoid receiving a parking ticket you must fill out the GradNite Parking Information sheet found in the Main Office by Wednesday, June 9th at Nutrition. The forms asks for the following information: Student Name, Car Make & Model, License Plate # and Car Color.

Remember this is a LACHSA event so students must be on their best behavior and adhere to all LACHSA school rules while attending prom. Please dress appropriately as any student or guest wearing inappropriate attire will not be allowed into Disneyland and NO REFUND will be provided. Students will be searched by Disneyland Security prior to entering the park and any student carrying weapons or any illegal materials as well any student under the influence of any illegal substance or suspected to be WILL NOT be allowed in the park, WILL NOT receive a refund for their ticket and Disneyland personnel will be forced to call law enforcement and your parents, as well as WILL NOT be allowed to participate in the Graduation Ceremony as you will have violated your Senior Contract. The following items will not be allowed Disneyland:
* Liquids of any kind (including water, drinks, perfume, lotion, etc.)
* Any type of weapon
* Spiked jewelry or belts
* Glass containers of any kind (perfume jars, cologne, etc.)
* Aerosol cans
* Non-prescription medication (aspirin, contact solution, etc.)
* Any food items (candy, gum, mints, etc.)
* Headwear (including sock hats, bandanas, etc.)
* Tobacco products (cigarettes, cigars, chew, etc.) and related items (lighters, matches, etc.)
* Alcohol and any controlled substance
* Bags and backpacks (purses/bags must be smaller than 8.5" x 11")
* Any clothing affiliated with a school, sports team, club, etc.
* Markers, Sharpies or laser pointers
* Custom-made apparel. Anything matching or that identifies a group (i.e. matching T-shirts, sweatshirts, wristbands, bags)

Do not bring these items with you. If you need to take medicine while at the dance, you must bring a signed note from your parent/guardian and give the items to Ms. Dilullo. She will give you the medication when necessary. So please be on your best behavior and enjoy your prom safely.

*** Special Note: Food or snacks at Disneyland may be prepared with nuts or nut products therefore it is very important that if you happen to suffer from a nut allergy that you bring your EpiPen or epinephrine auto injector with you to prom. The safety of our students is a priority so please make sure to inquire about the food before you consume it and bring the necessary medication with you in the event that you experience Anaphylaxis.

For those students bringing outside guest, remember you have sponsored them to attend this event so any breach of LACHSA or Disneyland rules as well as the law will result in disciplinary action for both you and your guest, so please make sure your guest is on their best behavior. Your guest must bring with them either a school ID or state ID to enter prom. No guest will be allowed on the bus if the LACHSA student did not submit a completed Guest Clearance form approved by the LACHSA Administration. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
