Families of 10th Grade Students Interested
in AP English and History Classes
Given everything that our students are currently balancing, we would like to inform you of some important dates. We ask for your help in reminding students about this Friday's upcoming AP readiness assessments. Students have been informed in their English and History classes of the following session:
Friday, May 14th King Hall C4075
8:00-10:00 a.m.
*Make up for VA students (on required field trip)
Friday, June 11th Location TBA
8:00-10:00 a.m.
If you are still considering if AP is an appropriate option for your student, please know that advanced placement courses are college level courses, which may allow students to earn college credit. They offer more sophisticated content and a much more intense work- load than honors classes. They require students to read perceptively and independently and to be proficient in writing clear, concise essays.
Thank you again for helping to remind students about the upcoming AP assessments. We look forward to a successful closure of this school year and an even more exciting junior year.

Information About Prom and Grad Nite
With Prom and GradNite just around the corner it is important that you submit Guest Clearence Forms for both the events. The deadline to submit these forms will be this Friday, May 14th to Ms. Sherman-Colt or Ms. Livermore. Failure to submit completed forms with a copy of your guest ID will result in your guest not being able to attend Prom or Gradnite. Forms can be found in the Main Office. Thank you!

Moondance
The LACHSA Film Parent Committee needs your donations to help celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the MoonDance Film Festival a screening of all the films the film students have been creating throught the year!
You may donate by buying your $10 tickets online or making a donation online at: www.itsmyseat.com/lachsa.html or visit LACHSA.net, Click on Box Office, Click on Moondance for either Friday, May 21st @ 7pm or Saturday, May 22 at 6pm. The celebration festivities begin one hour before showtime at the 500-seat AT&T Theatre at 1149 South Hill St in downtown LA, 90015.
The committee also needs donations for the MoonDance Raffle. Any item of real value is welcome; tickets to Universal Studios, a weekend at a mountain vaction retreat, Dinner for Two, a special service, a cruise or just movie tickets or Cash! Please be creative and give what you can. Drop off your donation with your name and email at either the Main Office or the Film Office by Wednesday, May 19, 2010. A committee member will gladly pick-up your valuable donations.
