I want to thank everyone for the tremendous success of our annual Back to School Night!  It was such a pleasure for all faculty and staff to meet and speak with parents!

Back to School Night is a vivid reminder of how important parents and caregivers are to the success of LACHSA.  We are a much more effective school when we work in partnership with our parent community.   

For some parents, this partnership is best realized by volunteering with our counselors in the College Center, or by serving on the Parent Council, or satisfying our students' appetites in preparation for the many performances of the year.  Other parents feel that they can best partner with the school by offering financial support.

In the next week, you will be receiving information outlining how you can support LACHSA's arts programs.  This appeal letter by Brenda Barnes, board member of the Arts High Foundation will allow you to see how your financial contribution will preserve and enhance the quality of arts-related programming at LACHSA.

Please read the appeal letter from the Arts High Foundation and the accompanying special note from me and LACHSA's arts chairs and consider making a gift for as much as your situation allows. Please know that every cent of your contribution will be used as you intend.

As the excitement of returning to another school year is replaced by the rigor and rhythm of LACHSA, I continue to be inspired by the dedication and passion of our parent community.  Thank you, as always for your continued support.
