Four Year Anniversary
|
October is a special month for me. October 10th marks the four year anniversary of my clinic, Diamond Stone Oriental Medicine, Inc.
I am grateful to all who have sought my help in resolving their health concerns and for all I have learned from my patients. I'm looking forward to celebrating my five year anniversary on 10/10/10!

Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day
|
October 24th is celebrated across the nation as Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Day. It's a time for me to rejoice in the wonderful medicine that I so enjoy practicing. Acupuncture is becoming more widely accepted by the public as well as by doctors and surgeons. The Institute for Health and Healing at Abbott Northwestern Hospital currently has nine acupuncturists on staff that see patients on both an in-patient and out-patient basis. Mayo Hospital in Rochester has two acupuncturists on staff, and they both graduated from the same school that I attended - Minnesota College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MCAOM).
I will be celebrating AOM Day two ways. . .
First I will be teaching a new class at my clinic called: Breast Health - A Mighty Important Class For Your Mammaries on Tuesday, October 20th. See next article for more information.
Then on the eve of AOM Day, Friday, October 23rd, I'll be holding an Acupuncture Chill Out from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Avenues of Health. Come in anytime between 4:00-6:00 pm, settle in a chair and receive auricular (ear) acupuncture, and then just chill out for a half an hour. For the price of a martini - ten bucks - you can dispel all of your stress from the work week and start the weekend with a smile on your face. No appointment necessary; first come first served.

Breast Health: A Mighty Important Class for Your Mammaries.
There is no shortage of fundraisers bearing the symbol of breast cancer - the pink ribbon - from pink KitchenAids to pink Victorinox 7-Function Classic Knives. While much of the funding goes to research and early detection, I feel that not enough is being done to prevent breast disease.
Genetics aside, there is plenty that can be done to promote breast health such as massage, qigong, breast meditations and powerful foods. You'll learn to replace the vague fear of receiving a breast cancer diagnosis with positive, loving actions for breast health.
Date: Tuesday, October 20, 2009 Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Location: Avenues of Health, 2415 Hennepin Ave, Minneapolis, MN 55405 Cost: $25.00 per person RSPV to Katherine@diamondstoneom.com or call 612 872 9133
