Have a Merry Christmas!

As we continue to joyfully prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus, I want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of our school and for the gift of Catholic education that you're giving your children. Throughout the school, our students have been preparing for the birth of Jesus through classroom activities, participation in Mass and through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.  A special thank you to Msgr. Rohling, Fr. Rick, Fr.Culotta and other neighboring priests for celebrating Penance Services with our students.  In just two weeks, we will begin to celebrate with great joy the birth of Jesus.  The celebration of Christmas continues with the twelve days of Christmas that follow.  The US Conference of Catholic Bishops has launched a website with prayers and activities for your family to share this Advent season and to celebrate Christmas.  I encourage you to explore this web site. This week there are several events planned including the Band Concert on Thursday, school-wide Mass on Friday and Christmas Assembly. Students may wear Christmas accessories with their uniforms on Friday.  I hope that the remaining time of Advent is blessed and that you and your family have a joyous celebration of Christmas!  Sandra Roden, Principal  Advent & Christmas Prayers and Activities

Reading is Fun in 4th Grade!
If you walk by Mrs. G's class the children are in sleeping bags lying on the floor.  You aren't seeing things, they are together reading the book, The Castle in the Attic.  When it's really cold outside they bring hot chocolate to sip before class starts.  The children have really enjoyed reading together and discussing the book so much, they don't think of it as work at all.

Please Give a Science Lab Animal a Home for the Holidays You can enjoy having a pet without a lifetime commitment.  Animals are available for foster care any weekend and especially the holidays.  more information
