Dear Friends & Neighbors,
It is with great sadness that we share the news that we did not receive the Administration on Aging grant (Community Innovations for Aging In Place) that we applied for this year. This was Ashby Village's first effort to secure grant funding, and we look forward to many, more successful, opportunities at bat!
Meanwhile, we are moving forward and aggressively signing up new members and charter members, hosting living room chats and seeking donations. We are still hopeful about an early 2010 launch and urge you to consider becoming a member or charter member. For more details about membership click here or email us at membership@ashbyvillage.org.

We are beginning to build the volunteer program you have been asking for. If you have a few hours a week, or even a few hours a month, you can volunteer with Ashby Village. We also need volunteers to work on specific projects on a one-time-only basis. 
We are in the process of building a "gold" list of vetted providers in a variety of skill areas (i.e. auto repair, carpentry, tree service, etc.). If you know of someone who you can highly recommend in any of these areas, we want your personal recommendations. The list of skill areas and instructions for submitting recommendations is on our website in the
