I joined the DIO Nation  last year.  LAUGHter Yogini, SG Maria Lourdes (who led an AWEsome LY Circle Thursday night - woohoo) invited me to a casting call.   The rest is HER story.   ha ha ha.

DIO is committed to educating  through the ART of DRAG.   Their mission is to enlighten gender stereotypes through entertainment with a clear vision of community involvement and interpersonal relationships.  They teach leadership skills and self-acceptance and raise funds for kids and animals and queers - kAq.

Last summer - for 12 weeks on a Thursday night after our Laughter Circles, I would totally stretch myself and stay up a few more hours as I learnt how to perform and sink  deeper into my own skin.

 I created a persona (Chutzpah Hussy).   I

wore heels again, drew

on my face, dressed up, sang and danced.  Woohoo.  

I LAUGHed at myself .  

I explored new music and cheered on my Queens and Kings.  And I draguated with a lipsyncing crowd pleasing performance.  Woohoo.
