(Build a Bridge).

"A nation nestled within it's own borders, staying pretty much to themselves, extended a courtesy to a small group of 12 diplomats presenting the heart opening possibilities of Laughter Yoga. These Laughter Yoga representatives from Hollywood, FL, were honored to be present at the Seminole Indian Reservation Winter Festival on Saturday, March 5, 2011 in big Cyprus, in the Everglades, Florida.

Sister Goddess Barbara, a long time participant at Laughter Circles held at TY Park in Hollywood, FL, was our voice of peace and cooperation between peoples, between nations and of heart. Through Barbara's commitment to provide to our Seminole sisters and brothers, possibilities of organic farming and natural healing, she presented the offer of us sharing Laughter Yoga at this important celebration, and her offer was accepted.

Three cars filled with veteran and new Laughter Yogini enthusiasts showed up at the festival site and were shown were our table was. Our hostess, Sister Goddess Barbara, a librarian at the reservation, coordinated the space for us and made sure we were comfortable and announced when our Laughter Yoga offerings were to happen.

Two Laughter Circles were held during the festival. All those transported from Hollywood were in the circles, as well as a sprinkling of adventurous souls from the Seminole community. Some folks who were at booths near us joined with their well appreciated laughter.

The festival was a closed event. It was only for members of the Seminole Nation and their special guests. We were indeed honored to be included in that special category.

There were lots of activities for children, and games with opportunities to win prizes at all booths. Although there was a place to purchase some food, everything else was at no charge. It was like a huge family reunion or company picnic. There was a chili cook-off competition and each of those who entered had huge pots of chili, both mild and spicy, for anyone to sample, in quantities that were quite filling.

We thank our sisters and brothers of the Seminole Nation for extending this privilege to us and we look forward to sharing more laughter circles, as well as many other shared moments together."
