This week WSM Noah and I spent a few days in Puerto Rico. We visited a little town called Rincon. We got a hotel room with a patio opening up onto the ocean. As I sat there listening to the sea, a pelican flew onto the tree in front of me.
I observed the pelican balance ever so gently on the thinnest of branches and move slightly to adjust for the winds. All of a sudden, the pelican took off - wings spread and flying directly into the sea. I watched it plunge dive down into the water, head first and then bob right back up with something in its bill. Swallowing whatever it had scooped up from the ocean, the pelican then shook his back feathers with what looked like excitement or happiness - a BUN dance in nature.
I stood up and shook my buns and danced too. Motion creates emotions. I cried. I LAUGHed and LAUGHed and LAUGHed. The pelican rejoiced with its catch. I rejoiced at the blessing of being HERE, right meow. Blessed to BE in A-bun-DANCE in Nature.
