LAUGHter & Mars & Venus
WSM Noah and I have been married for 13 years. Being different sexes, he's from Mars and I am from Venus (thanks John Gray). We also see things quite differently.
In the past I would whine, plead, cry, nag and outtalk him in order to get him to see things my way (Venusian behavior). None of that worked. And when it did, we were both miserable.
LAUGHter brought a new element into our communication. The ability to HA HA HA and walk away when we disagree.
It feels so good to LAUGH. In this space, I can let go of my expectations and reMEMBER that there are many ways to get things done. I also let him breathe easier as he finds his own way to BE and DO.
