Europe in your classroom - Comenius is one of the most popular international education programmes for UK schools, colleges and local authorities.
Preparatory Visit Grants

Want to explore your Comenius project ideas further and gain some valuable face-to-face preparation time with potential project partners? Preparatory Visit Grant funding is an excellent way of enabling you to visit your partner to discuss and develop ideas for a new Comenius project.

Why not take full advantage of the grant funding to further your personal and professional relationships? Make full use of the time you schedule together to start putting together a Comenius funding application for your project for the February 2011 deadline and help develop long-lasting ties to boost your chances of success.
New comenius assistant case study
Assistants lwinner
Ever wondered how your school could benefit from hosting a Comenius Cultural Assistant?

Head to our case studies section and read the latest addition from Pentland Primary School in Edinburgh, describing how they hosted their first Assistant, Guillem Montero, from Majorca in Spain.  Find out how his Comenius-funded 6 month visit not only helped pupils gain a far greater understanding of international citizenship, but also gave them the opportunity to gain confidence in mastering another language.

Comenius School Partnership Start-Up Workshops
If you have been approved for a 2010 Comenius School Partnership starting this Autumn, then you should register for a start-up workshop in your region. Participants will share ideas and experience, receive clear guidance on contractual obligations and practical advice on managing a project and maximising its impact.  An email should have been sent to you with details on dates and locations of these workshops; if you have not received one, you can find information at:
