Local Food Videos Promote Caledon's Good Food Ideas

Caledon's Good Food IdeasThe Town of Caledon, in partnership with the Caledon Countryside Alliance, has taken part in the Growing Good Food Ideas Video Project.

This project was completed as a collaborative venture with Sustain Ontario, a number of municipal and non-profit sector partners and Powerline Films.

With a contribution of funds from OMAFRA's Ontario Market Investment Fund, these groups have used video to tell the stories of just a few of the many fascinating sustainable food projects that are being run successfully in Ontario.

Two videos have been produced to showcase Caledon's Good Food Ideas. The first video focuses on Caledon's "Farm to Table" efforts, while the other highlights Caledon's "Food Innovators".

These videos are an effective means of communicating innovation and opportunity within Caledon's food industry. They are also great tools for assisting the Town of Caledon's ongoing effort to support the agriculture, hospitality and tourism sectors of the local economy.

The two videos will be displayed and shared via the Town of Caledon's and project partner's electronic newsletters, social media profiles and websites. CLICK HERE to view the videos.

Energy Benchmarking Workshop - Logistics/Warehouses

PPG Logo

Partners in Project Green is hosting a special event focused on delivering energy savings, healthy facilities and improved building performance.

The Driving Building Performance - Energy Benchmarking & Re-commissioning for Logistics/Warehouses Workshop will take place on February 21, 2012 at the Cooper Lighting Distribution Facility, 5925 McLaughlin Road, Mississauga.

Participants will learn the skills that are needed to launch, manage and maximize a re-commissioning program, including identifying typical areas for savings, developing the business case for action and maximizing returns through better building management.

Due to the fact that this workshop is hosted at a distribution facility, it includes a tour that highlights typical opportunities for attendees; providing real world examples of ways to save money that they can take back and use at their facilities.

This workshop also highlights typical measures that can be undertaken in the warehouse/logistics sector, while providing all attendees a benchmarking report that shows how they anonymously compare to their sector peers.

CLICK HERE to learn more or register.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to participate in the benchmarking component of this workshop (i.e., receive a benchmarking report), you must register no later than February 7, 2012.
