Community-Based Strategic Plan (CBSP)
CBSP Front CoverCaledon is a safe, green community of communities which desires a sustainable future via the management and fostering of community progress.

Caledon's Community-Based Strategic Plan (CBSP) presents the vision for the Town's future, and is a foundation for Caledon's continued success through the next decade.

Input from residents across the community was fundamental in creating the Strategic Plan.

Throughout the consultation process, the community created a vision of Caledon and six goals and objectives:
  1. Partner with landowners and community to preserve, protect and enhance our environmental and agriculatural resources.
  2. Complete our Community of Communities.
  3. Live Healthy.
  4. Value and Protect Culture, Heritage and the Arts.
  5. Cultivate a Diverse and Prosperous Economy.
  6. Provide Strong Governance and Community Engagement.

Next Steps:

  • Develop an Action Plan and Monitoring Framework
  • Celebrate the CBSP and share with the community, regional and provincial governments to ensure there is a shared understanding of Caledon's strategic direction.
  • Engage the community.
  • Establish a Stakeholder Advisory Team.  Their role will be to review the success of implementation and actions.
  • Regular progress monitoring and reporting.

The complete Strategic Plan is posted on the Town's website at www.caledon.ca.

As well, a summary version can be found online or obtained by visiting Town Hall, Caledon libraries or the Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness in Bolton.
