Shop, Sample & Eat Local at the Caledon Farmers' Market
Caledon Farmers' Market LogoDid you know that if just $5 per Caledon resident was spent on locally grown and/or produced foods each week, over $1.2 million per month, (and nearly $15 million per year), would be injected into the local economy?

The Caledon Farmers' Market provides an excellent opportunity to help do just that, while supporting local growers, producers, artists and community organizations.

This open-air Market offers a diverse selection of vendors who sell local produce, meats, honey, baked goods, crafts and more.

Conveniently located at the Albion Bolton Community Centre (150 Queen Street South in Bolton) there is ample parking and plenty for the whole family to see and do.

Shoppers are welcome every Thursday between 3:00 and 7:00pm until October 7, and some dates will feature special events such as corn roasts and harvest festivals.

An institution in Bolton since 1971, in

The staff has also grown from 15 to 60 to ensure customers' every need is met.

NOTE: Baffo's was one of the first companies to take advantage of the financial incentives included in Bolton Community Improvement Plan (CIP) - which assisted them in completing their building and façade improvements at a dramatically reduced cost. For details on the Bolton CIP click HERE.

Non-Residential Property Tax Rates & Development Charges
The July 21, 2010 issue of NRU - Greater Toronto Area Edition announced the 2010 GTA Commercial and Industrial Property Tax Rates for Caledon and the other municipalities that comprise the GTA.

As in recent years, Caledon's 2010 Business Tax Rates remain very competitive compared to the rest of the GTA, and are the lowest in the Region of Peel.

This is a definite asset for attracting economic investment to the area - as is Caledon's relative proximity to Pearson International Airport and the 400-series highway system.

Also, on August 1, 2010 the Town of Caledon updated its Non-Residential Development Charges. These Retail, Industrial and Other Non-Residential Development Charges show a decrease compared to the previous period.

To view this and other related information, visit the Community and Investment Profiles page at www.caledon.ca/edc.
