May I share something with you?  I just spent a few precious minutes welcoming this new day beside my memory garden. 

 

For me, today doesn't just mark Good Friday...it also marks the anniversary of 4 devastating miscarriages for my husband and I, each occuring around Easter.  This morning  I took the opportunity to honor the grief I still feel from the losing those pregnancies, and to express gratitude for the two beautiful children we have been blessed by.

 

As I was deeply grieving my last miscarriage, in a state of disbelief and anger, I refused to go to the Doctor, trying to avoid the pain of hearing the words "we can't find a heartbeat" yet again.  Little did I know that two weeks later I would give in to being examined, only to hear the words "yes, I see you have miscarried but there's a twist... there were two babies to begin with!" 

 

Imagine my joy in sitting upright, soaking up the sight and sounds of our now 4 year old Dani-Grace's strong, healthy heartbeat!  Just as I was grieving the loss of one pregnancy, I was given the opportunity to celebrate another.

 

These experiences strengthened my resolve to make a positive difference--to find and use my gifts to the best of my ability.  It's definitely part of the passion behind my purpose for Synergy Life and Wellness Coaching.
