Skacel in going to sponsor another KAL, Progressive Knitting, starting October, 2011. We are already taking names of knitters interested in joining in for the next edition of this fun program. This knit along will run for four months - Oct, Nov, Jan and Feb. It will include two sock months, a shawl month and a mitten month. If you are interested in joining in please contact the shop to get on our list of participants asap. We will be happy to send you the yarn every month. but I need to know how much yarn to stock. Don't forget that the patterns and instructional videos will remain available free at Knit Purl Hunter.
Louet now has several more beautiful varigated colors of Kidlin. One skein will make a simple yet elegant lace scarf. Kidlin is lace weight, 250 yds/50 grams, 49% Linen/ 35% Kid Mohair / 16% Nylon.
From Tahki/Stacy Charles comes Boulder (53%Wool/47%Acrylic). This is mega yarn is gorgeous shades. Pattern for a one ball scarf comes on the label.
Kraemer Yarns has a lovely mohair, acrylic blend with a little spackle, Fountain Hill, with lots of yardage, one skein of this lace weight yarn makes a generous, beautiful scarf/shawl.
Also, from Kraemer comes Saucon Sock yarn - 100 grams, 430 yards per skein. This pretty tweedy cotton sock yarn contains no wool. The fiber content is 44%Cotton, 43%Acrylic and 13%Nylon. Long wearing and easy care, it's great for summer socks. |
