What's New 

Trekking KAL contest yarn is coming monthly. We have extra supply so you can still get involved. "Stripes Alive", a cuff-down sock, is March's project. Stop in the shop or visit Skacel's website to see all the projects. Claire and I are making them so you can see our finished projects here at the store. And, please send us a copy of your entry photo so we can post them in the shop. The patterns are fun and available free at KnitPurlHunter. This site also has wonderful Utube instructional videos.

April's yarn has arrived in the shop,Trekking Maxima, a fingering weight in drifing colors of blue and green. Toe up socks next month.


Joe has restocked our shop with lovely wood shawl pins in both the Hat Pin Style and the Paint Pallette Style. Also he has expanded his line of wood buttons.

Classes and WorkshopsInventorySale
Pre-registration is required for all classes. All supplies are available at the shop. Students receive 10% off supplies. The fee for workshops and/or classes is $10/session unless otherwise stated.
Who says you can't knit a sweater in a day? 

Top down sweater in the round with no finishing. Claire will teach her pattern for this cute scaled down sweater using the magic loop technique. Tueday, May 17 at 1:00.


Two Needle Points, Two Yarns, Two Knifty Cast ons. Come and enjoy learning what Magic Loop Knitting is all about. Monday, May 16 from 1-3.


Spa Cloths Knit out of Euroflax linen a spa cloth and matching soap bag makes a great gift and is fun summer knitting. The class will use Fiber Trends patterns, "Bathtime Blossoms" and/or "Bathing Beauties" both by Evelyn Clark. Practice your lace knitting and short row techniques. Tuesday June 7, starting at 1:00.


"Your Day" Class  Be the first to request the technique or skill you'd like to learn. Number of topics to be limited by the teacher. June 21, 10-noon.

Up Coming Fiber Friendly Events and Shop Notices
The Northwoods Knitters and Purlers Guild is sponsoring a workshop on Friday, May 20th at the Woodruff Community Center in Woodruff. Come and let Carol Anderson tickle your ribs teaching Elizabeth Zimmermann's "Ribwarmers." Send registration form to Maggie Rabjohns, POBox 633, Minocqua, WI 54568.

The Knit and Crochet Show featuring the Crochet Guild of America and
The Knitting Guild Association will be held in Minneapolis this summer. This is the first time it's been held in the Midwest in 10+ years. Don't miss it.
