Greetings!
For those of you unaware, TODAY - September 26 - marks the date of Idaho's theft in 1997.
It is Idaho's theft and recovery 51 weeks later that were the catalyst for  the beginning of Stolen Horse International (SHI).
For those of you new to NetPosse who might not know the history of SHI, please read The Miracle of Idaho and learn why we have the IDAHO Alerts.
Now known worldwide as NetPosse, this is the ONLY nonprofit organization of its kind!
Debi and Harold Metcalfe have sacrificed more than anyone knows to grow NetPosse into what it is today. This wasn't a goal they set or vision they shared ... it was a path they were set on and which they have followed and then forged out of necessity.
However, NetPosse wouldn't be what it is today, 11 years later, if not for the support and efforts of EVERY member and contributor, no matter what your role. Debi would be the first one to tell each of you and the first one to say thank you. |

NetPosse is a Lifeline for Victims
Excerpt from recent letter to Debi
"I feel at this point I am not alone shouting out with no one listening. I  really do appreciate all that you and you helpers all over have accomplished already for my situation.
I am getting people wanting to make a donation and I have asked at this time to make the donation in Katie's name so that other people in my situation can get the same great help. I am very thankful for all you have done, even within a couple of days. I guess modern technology is really much better than we want to think.
I am so glad Trooper Connors had the time to spend talking with you, he was so impressed.
My girls, I and my husband are in better spirits as we do feel more positive about the situation at hand.
Again, I and my family are just so thankful that there is so many great people left in the world and someone like you made it really happen for all of us...Maybe someday I can be such a helper for someone too..." --

NetPosse.com Works Because of You
We need your help to continue...
Everyone is hurting with the current economy, especially nonprofits, but NetPosse doesn't receive the donations and federal monies so many other organizations do.
Also, NetPosse is 100% volunteer. Unlike many nonprofits, there are no salaried employees ... not even the Metcalfes. Therefore, every penny received is cherished and used to continue NetPosse's mission to educate the public and help recover stolen and missing horses.
But there is SO MUCH MORE on the horizon that this nonprofit wants to do ... we have been working on launching a more user-friendly, searchable website; adding all types of agricultural thefts to our site and increasing services to victims. Unfortunately, all of those goals require funding that are simply not in the slim budget.
Therefore, it is my earnest plea today that each person who receives this email will be willing to contribute what they can for this organization that does so much and asks so little.
No one wants to walk outside and discover their fence cut and horses stolen from the pasture ... no one wants to be on a trail ride and come home with an empty trailer because their horse is lost in the woods ... no one wants to be swindled out of their horse because they trust the wrong person as a caretaker ...
No one wants to ever have to use NetPosse's services, but no one is 100% safe from civil or criminal theft!
We want to be here for you if our services are ever needed. So please donate today if you can or purchase products from NetPosse to support this cause. Also, while monetary donations are greatly needed, there are other items on our Donation page. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
By the way, Debi's birthday is Monday, Sept. 28. I am sure she never received a better gift than Idaho's recovery, but I know that it would really make Debi feel appreciated if you would donate to NetPosse in her honor.
