STRONG COMMUNITIES CAMPAIGN

Every day we see many faces of need within New Kent, King Smiling Girl Black & White StripesWilliam, King and Queen Counties and the Town of West Point. Children are in need of safe and affordable care that deepens their motivation to learn. Some children need youth sports and other healthy programs to combat childhood obesity, and all children need programs like day camp to offer the thrill of meeting a new friend or developing a new skill. Teens need positive role models and engaging activities during critical periods when good choices must prevail over bad. Our seniors must not be forgotten; they need affordable opportunities for stimulating activities and socialization. Most of all, our families need a healthy place to belong and grow in spirit, mind and body.

Your gift could change a life forever! Here's how you can make a difference:

  • $1000 provides a child with a summer of camp fun
  • $500 supports a teen to develop leadership skills
  • $150 provides one child a complete Bright Beginnings experience
  • $100 provides four months of membership for a teenager
  • $65 provides a child with a session of their favorite sport or eight classes of swim lessons.

They need us....We need YOU! Please make the Greater West Point Family YMCA your charity of choice.

Donations/contributions can be made at The Greater West Point Family YMCA, 3135 King William Ave. West Point Virginia or by mail to the Greater West Point Family YMCA, P.O. Box 1526, West Point, VA  23181

SUMMER CAMP 2012

Y Summer Camp is a traditional day camp experience that develops spirit, mind and body. A fun daily schedule provides hours filled with excitement and new experiences. Activities include swimming, arts & crafts, new games, nature exploration, sports, songs, field trips and much more. The program stresses socialization, self-confidence, self-awareness and teaches skills. Campers are divided into groups according to their grade. Camp also allows parents to work without worry while their children enjoy summer experiences that will last a lifetime.
