Don't Be Afraid to Pull the Trigger

When it comes to making decisions, don't shrink at moving forward for fear that you don't have all the information you need. Instead, investigate the resources that are within reach and trust your instincts to make the best decision you can with the information that is readily available.

Here are 2 tips for improving your ability to make good decisions:

  • Don't strive for perfection. The perfect solution is the enemy of the good-enough-for-now solution. A good-enough solution may actually be the best solution when put into action in the real world. It may not be perfect, but it often gets the job done.
  • Embrace ambiguity. Effective leaders know how to manage the "gray" areas by making adjustments along the way.
