Hello Buccaneer Families,
Another great week of football for the Buccaneers.
The chapter had 7 games on Saturday... we
went 4-3 with one of our losses in overtime. The Seniors and J2 Orange teams had a Bye.
We had a sweep at home with MM Orange beating Westlake 32-14, MM White
over Camarillo Gold 8-0 and J1 White with a 25-0 shutout vs. Camarillo Black. Our J1 Orange pulled off another nail biter on the road beating Camarillo Gold 12-6.
Next week we will be hosting a full day of games at Ventura High School with the first game starting at 9:00 AM and the last one starting at 7:00 PM. We look forward to seeing everyone at the field this weekend!

Highlights:
Junior 1 - Chris Rohlfing:
"The Ventura Buccaneer J1 Orange team came from behind in the
final minute once again on Saturday, this time to defeat Camarillo Gold
12-6. Camarillo got on the scoreboard first with an
impressive 75-yard catch and run. The
Bucs stopped the extra point attempt and Camarillo
held a 6-0 lead. The Bucs got on the
board with a 4-yard run by Broc Mortensen, but the extra point was stopped,
leaving the score a 6-6 tie. The tie
remained until there was 30 seconds remaining in the game, when Aric Austin hit
Johan Boas with an 8-yard scoring pass.
The extra point was defended, and the Bucs closed out the game without
allowing Camarillo
to advance the ball. After Camarillo's long TD pass, the Buc defense stiffened and
held Camarillo's
offense in check. Those contributing on
defense included Kyle Biederman, Trennan Carlson, Tanner Jeffris, Jared
Rohlfing, Jackson Steiner, and George Taian."
