Line up for a new credit reporting organization:

CreditReportMove over Equifax, Experian and Trans-Union. CoreLogic, a financial-data firm, has unveiled a new credit report that will tap data that has "never before appeared" in traditional credit files. It may include your history of missed rental payments and child support, and whether you are underwater on your mortgage. For some consumers, the new report is "likely to reveal black marks that previously went undetected, which may damage an otherwise clean record." But CoreLogic, which has partnered with FICO to develop a new credit score based on the reports, says the added data, most of it publicly available, could also help those with thin credit files better prove their creditworthiness. Reports will be available for an estimated 100 million Americans; you can call CoreLogic at (877) 532-8778 to request" a copy of yours.

Sexual Dangers of the Internet; Some Facts:
  • The Internet has given sexual predators a new way of finding victims, but most of these predators are not technically pedophiles.
  • 99% of the sex crimes committed through internet-initiated contacts involve the statutory rape of teenagers rather than little children.
  • Pedophiles, who by definition prefer children who have not reached puberty, rarely meet victims on-line.
  • Cops recently busted 70,000 (yes thousand) members of an on-line organization that exchanged child-porn.

Words of Wisdom: The only way to keep something private on Facebook is not to post it on Facebook!

  • Clean Machine: LCDs (laptop and desktop screens) don't take well to glass cleaners and ammonia. If you need to clean either, dampen a soft cloth or paper towel with plain water. Not good enough? Make a  50/50 mixture of (distilled recommended)  water and white vinegar. Apply it to the cloth and not directly to the screen. Wipe with a dry fresh cloth or paper towel.
