Free Credit Report.Com IS NOT FREE!
But you know that. What you may not know is that The (FED) Fair
Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) requires each of the nationwide consumer reporting
companies - Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion to provide you with a free copy of your credit
report, at your request, once every 12 months. Each individual is entitled to their own reports. For example, Husbands and Wives do have their own credit rating and therefore their own reports. Use
the link on the left to access the one centralized website that will guide you
through ordering the reports. Be careful NOT to close your browser window after
ordering a report; Rather follow the
navigation links back to the centralized site and then onto the next reporting
company, until such time as you've ordered all three reports.

Go Green and Help Save The Planet
Join the
Green revolution and save money at the same time. Monster Cables, long known for quality audio/video
cabling and high end surge protectors (I wouldn't power a flat screen TV or any
other expensive audio/video device without one) has a new line of surge
protectors, collectively known as "Monster
Greenpower Surge Protector MDP 900, 800 and 650". You plug your computer into the GreenPower Control
outlet, and then plug your PC peripherals (printer, monitor, scanner,
speakers, etc) into the specially marked Monster GreenPower Controlled outlets.
As soon as your computer shuts-down or goes to sleep, the other
GreenPower outlets will automatically switch off. You save money and your
peripherals might just last a bit longer. Turn your computer back on, the
GreenPower outlets power the peripherals up. The strip's outlets are color
coded for easy use. Try the link on the left for more info.

More On Watching PC/TV
Here are four recommended sites for watching TV content on
your PC or via your (VGA equipped) flat screen TV with computer attached. Be
aware that all of these sites will monitor your watching habits and might want to
market you in the future. They are all spyware free: Hulu.com - streams
current shows from Fox, NBC and more. Great audio and video quality. TV.com -
(provided by CBS) has full episodes of current shows, some in HD. Veoh.com - material from ABC, Warner Brothers
and more. This site is slow to load so be patient. Finally there's Joost.com
with movies, TV shows and even music from a multitude of providers. Look to the links on the left.

Anti-Virus Footnote
If you've chosen to download Avast Anti-Virus Free Edition, you're probably getting a message that you have the 60 day trial edition. It is FREE. The providers do require you to register the product within 60 days to continue using it without charge indefinitely. |

Ask MisterComputer:
Nancy
H. wants to know, "Why does Internet explorer always open in a less
than full screen mode (maximized). This, even when I've maximized it before
closing it the last time I browsed?
MisterComputer Answers:
If
you want IE to start maximized whenever you open it. Start IE and then maximize
it. Finally, hold down the Control (CTRL) key and either click the
"X" in the upper right hand corner or Select "File"
and then "Exit", all the while depressing the Control Key. The
next time you open IE it will open maximized.
