Welcome!
Welcome to the first issue of this newsletter. If you're on my
mailing list it means that you've had some technology, most likely a
computer, serviced by me, Ish Alter and/or MisterComputer.com
Mr. Computer not only fixes computers, sets up networks, connects you to the
internet and removes viruses, but we also connect and integrate audio/video
equipment like that new Flatscreen TV. We also do training.
I hope you will find the articles and tips in the newsletter informative.
Please feel free to forward the newsletter on to your friends and family.
Got a technology question you'd like answered? E-mail me and it might be
in a future issue!

Anti-Virus 2009? Spyware Guard?
Don't give these people your money. These guys are the originators of "the drive by" SPYWARE infection. You inadvertantly land on a poisoned website, often without knowing it and as you "drive by" you're infected. If you can't get these guys out of your computer, we can; Often remotely, and at a time most convenient for you!

Free Anti-Virus
AVG, release 8.5, is still free, to home users. You get the same Anti-virus and Anti-Spyware protection as its paid version. More importantly, it has a smaller footprint so it works without slowing your computer down. Check Quick Link to the left for AVG and other free Anti-virus products.

Missed the NCIS Season Finale?
Watch it Now!
Did you miss the finale of NCIS? Numb3rs? Any prime time show on CBS? You can watch them on your computer and even on your home TV. Go to CBS.com and follow the links to watch any and all episodes of your favorite series.
If you can get an internet connected computer, perhaps a laptop with a wireless connection, close enough to the TV then with the help of one readily available VGA cable and a dual male audio cable, you can watch that finale right on you Flat Screen TV in full screen. Most of thenew flat screens have a VGA input.
The shows at CBS are near commercial free, they are flash player driven so you already have all the software you need and there's no perceptible delay in transmission. Similar viewing is available from NBC and ABC but I find CBS to have the simplest interface and the most robust selection.
