PTA End of Year Picnic & Auction
ALERT ALERT! Change in the plans for the picnic!! No pizza sales at the picnic -- please bring your own family picnic. ALERT ALERT!
Come everyone to the final PTA event for the school year!! Thursday, May 19th from 5:30-7:30 pm.
The PTA will supply ice cream for the kids!
Bring your own picnic or eat before you come!
Visit the Silent Auction in the Multi-Purpose Room from 5:30-7pm. Many many many outstanding class baskets, teacher donations and Shady Grove family donations to bid on! All proceeds will be placed in the PTA Technology Fund!
Thank you to everyone who has organized classrooms, donated items and helped with the organization. A HUGE thanks to Sue Manley who has been the Auction Chairperson and Donations chairperson. Grade Level End of Year Testing
May 23rd through June 8th
End of year testing begins on Monday, May 23 for second grade and will conclude on Wednesday, June 8 when fourth grade will take the social studies SOL test online. To keep in touch with your children's unique grade level testing schedules, please visit either the PTA or Shady Grove websites.
Your partnership with us is truly an essential ingredient of our success formula. We thank you in advance for making sure that the children are ready to "show what they know" on testing days!

Top Teacher Competition
Richmondmom.com and Top Notch Richmond have launched our 2011 Richmond Top Teacher competition. Please nominate your Top Teacher. Although only a few win prizes all nominations will have a write-up as to why they were nominated. This is a GREAT way to publicly honor our teachers.
