PTA's INTERNATIONAL NIGHT, THURSDAY THE 21ST 5:30 - 7:00 PM

Join us TONIGHT for your chance to travel the globe.  Here's your chance to listen to a band from Bali, taste a traditional Nigerian meal, learn to say, "Hello, my name is ..." is ten different languages, and much more.

 
SPIRIT WEAR ORDERS 

Due to overwhelming demand another order of Shady Grove Spirit Wear items will be placed in October!  Check out what is available and get your order form in by Friday, October 29th!  NO late orders can be accepted.


 
 
PTA MEMBERSHIP
Congratulations to Mrs. Henderson, Mrs. DiFilippo and Mr. Brady for winning the teacher/faculty PTA membership drive raffle!  Each of these teachers won a $5 gift card to Starbucks!  Thanks to all of the parents, teachers and faculty members who have joined the PTA already.  

If YOU haven't yet joined the PTA, please click HERE to get the PTA membership form and submit it with your $5 dues to your child's teacher.  We are still in need of memberships to reach our goal of one PTA member per student!
 
CHECK WRITING CAMPAIGN - GIFT CARD DRAWING 

The Check Writing Campaign is still going strong.  If you haven't sent in your direct donation yet, please do so by Friday, November 19th to be entered into a drawing for a $50 Short Pump Town Center gift card.   Any donation that has already been received will be entered into the drawing as well.  Also, don't forget to check whether your company participates in a matching donations program.  You could double your donation for Shady Grove!

 
   

YMCA BRIGHT BEGINNINGS 2ND ANNUAL COAT DRIVE

What:  Gently Used or New Coats for kids and adults!

When:  October 25 - November 10

Where:  Shady Grove Elementary School

CAR LOOP REMINDERS 

Please do not arrive before 7:20 AM as NO school personnel are available to supervise children prior to this time. 

Most traffic occurs between 7:35 AM and 7:50 AM.  If you can leave home 5 minutes earlier you can help reduce the tardy rate and many traffic violations. 

When you arrive in the loop, drive ALL THE WAY AROUND the loop stopping next to the stop sign before discharging your child from your vehicle.  Parent volunteers and School Staff will help your child exit your car. 

When leaving the school, please turn right on to Wyndham Lake Drive.

SPIRIT NIGHT NEWS

Thank you to all that came out to support our first spirit night at California Pizza Kitchen.  Mrs. Doyle's class had the most participation and won a CPK pizza party.  We earned $500 for Shady Grove!
