November Greetings,

This is the time of moving into the darkness of Winter, the time when Nature supports our letting go, of dying to what is no longer serving us.  We recognize the signs - an urge to retreat, to be quiet, to slow down our pace a little, to spend more time in reflection.

Of course, our modern lives rarely support natural inner cycles, expecting us to keep the same routines no matter the season.  So it is up to each of us to be attentive to our own rhythms, the needs and wisdom of our natural selves.

In the spirit of dying to the old, this month I'm offering the Dying Consciously workshop once more.  This is invaluable training for anyone who works with the dying or would like to be of support to family and friends who are making their transition to Spirit.  Last year's attendees said they enjoyed and benefited so much from this training.  There are photos from last year's class on my website

And I look forward to seeing you around a Full Moon Fire - mark your calendar for Sunday, November 21st.

Dying Consciously Workshop
November 20 & 21, 2010

The transition from the physical world back to the world of Spirit is known in all sacred traditions as the Greatest Journey we ever take. In the West death is feared and medicalized, and so we often miss the opportunity to make this journey consciously and full of light.

In this workshop you learn the energetics of dying, and the Great Death Rites as practiced by Shamanic cultures.  Over the two days you also learn the steps that bring psychological and emotional closure to the dying person. These processes facilitate the final journey back to Spirit so it can happen peacefully and with grace.  You will be amazed at the beauty and sacredness of this work and be prepared to assist this transition for family, friends and others.

This work also helps you let go of the past by practicing the 'little deaths'  that allow you to live more fully and consciously in every moment.

The Four Winds organization provides on-line resources to assist this work.  Visit the Dying Consciously website to find out more.

Saturday and Sunday, November 20 & 21, 9-5.  Cost $275.

Call (519) 836-9425 or email me to register.

I trust you are enjoying the bright crispness of the Autumn air, the clarity of the night skies that showcase the crescent moon.  The energy of the season reminds me of lines from the poem Desiderata,

Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life,
keep peace in your soul.

With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.
Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

 With Bright Blessings,

The Sun and Human Evolution

Because evolving we are, at warp speed, our consciousness is being activated and propelled forward by the light of our Sun, even during the darker days of Winter.  The Sun is very active, with increasing and intense solar flares and solar winds affecting our Earth and all levels of our body.  Auroras such as the one above are a visible sign of the geomagnetic storms created by solar winds around Earth's magnetic field.   NASA reports that researchers and government officials are convening next week in Egypt to discuss the implications of this solar activity for Earth.

While they attend to the outer world, there is so much support from the Luminious Beings who serve and support us during this phase.   Read more here from Aluna Joy Yaxch'in about what is happening energetically and how each of us is being supported through these changes.
