December 2009 News
Alison at Grand Canyon
Season's Greetings,

November was a month of surprises - I found myself in unexpected places as the recent inner shifts began to manifest in the topside world.  I took some time to reflect, update my website (check out the ongoing changes and additions), travel to Sedona, Arizona for a workshop with Drunvalo Melchizedek (he's the Flower of Life guy; www.onelotus.net) and a quick visit to the Grand Canyon - both long time dreams.

As the days unfolded it felt like the roller coaster ride of the past six months came slowly to a stop.  Much of the confusion, intensity and uncertainty cleared and settled.  While something intrinsic has changed, there is a sense that now is the time to pause, find our feet, and look around to see where we've landed.

And that's a good place to be with the holiday season upon us.  As darkness closes in, Mother Nature in her wisdom gives us permission to slow down and reflect on our deepest truth.  It's easy to lose sight of it in the busyness of our days and the press of materialist values.  The question to keep asking ourselves is this - are our plans in alignment with what we truly value and love in our hearts?  And if not, what needs to change?

For me it's a change of pace and focus.  Doing what I love.  Loving what I do.

For those asking, there will be classes offered this Winter - more about that in January.  Plans are also underway for 2010 Sacred Earth Tour and Workshops in Newfoundland, I'll keep you posted!

Ancient Sun, eternally young, giver of life and source of energy...
You kindle the heavens, you shine within us (for we are suns with hearts afire--we light the world as you light the sky and find clouds within whose shadows are dark).  We give thanks for your rays.

O Hidden Life in every atom,
O Hidden Light! shining in every creature,
O Hidden Love! embracing all in Oneness,
May each who feels himself as one with Thee
Know he is also one with every other.

On my last evening in Arizona, I got to sit on this hill and wach the Sun go down over the land of the Hopi people.  It was so quiet and peaceful there.  Hopi Elders are sharing their wisdom and prophecies about the coming of the Fifth World, a new World Age filled with potential for Peace and Prosperity for All, if we but listen.

They speak of the importance of being One with the Earth, practicing self sufficiency, and Celebrating Life with prayers and thanksgiving in every season.  December 21st is the time they start
"praying again for everyone and everything in the whold world".
