 Greetings from the Rock!
Yes, I'm sending this newsletter from my home province of Newfoundland - a Wild and Wonder-full Island in the Sea!
The energy this summer was intense, starting with the June Solstice and leading up to the three Eclipses. It felt like I was shot out of a cannon and spent the rest of the summer looking to see where I had landed and collecting myself again. Talk about a shake up!
You may be among those who experienced moves, changes in jobs and relationships, crisis or reflection about life direction and priorities that seemed to be happening to a lot of people this summer.
But in spite of it, or perhaps because of it, I find myself ready to come back to Ontario. I've lived in the Guelph area for 18 years and it, too, feels like home.
Maybe it's the school year that starts soon, but September always feels like a new start to me. So I'm looking forward to connecting once again around the fire with you, and sharing the mystery of Life and Power of Ceremony.

Munay-Ki

Dying Consciously
 The transition from the physical world back to the world of Spirit is known in all sacred traditions as the Greatest Journey of all. Traditional shamanic cultures have long practiced the Great Death Rites that bring psychological and emotional closure to the dying person and allow their Spirit to leave easily and naturally.
In this workshop you learn the steps and energetic processes for making this final journey consciously, peacefully and with grace. Even if you do not know someone who is dying, practicing the 'little deaths' helps you to live more fully and consciously in every moment.

I spent much of the past two months in a state of flux; moving house and travelling. Sorting and packing possessions allowed me to reflect on what was important. Visiting my birthplace in Newfoundland was an opportunity to reflect on where I've been and where I'm going from here. I've learned so much from all of it - to sit with the confusion and uncertainty, that no matter what I think I know, life always offers something new. I discovered new friends, relatives, and connections with Mother Earth. Every moment was an opportunity to see with fresh eyes and to begin again. And I am thankful for the many reminders to shed my past and be more present to the journey.
As we begin what feels like a 'descent' into the solar cycle of Autumn and Winter, with shorter days and increasing darkness, I send Blessings. May you welcome and go easily into this time for reflection and inner journeys. May the Light of your Heart help you safely navigate the dark times. And may you always find your way HOME.

Navigating the Shift
You may have heard about the coming Shift of the Ages, the idea of ascending to a new reality or dimension. There is a lot of information out there, some of which can create fear and mistrust.
Come find out the signs of ascension, and how you can move with greater ease and grace into the coming new Age. It is not about 'running for the hills' or stockpiling survival goods, as I once imagined.
Yet there are simple yet profound changes you can make in your everyday life to align with the higher vibrations, with your soul's purpose and destiny. That far off shore of the New Earth may not be so distant after all!

Newfoundland
Connections
August was a time of building new connections in Newfoundland. A Mayan Calendar Presentation, Despacho and Fire Ceremonies were held at Port aux Choix and Corner Brook. I found people who were open and eager to embrace the Peruvian wisdom teachings and healing medicine. The Elemental Kingdom and Ancestors were also hungry for connection here.
I look forward to continuing those connections with workshops in Newfoundland over the next year, and a new Sacred Earth Tour in Newfoundland in the Spring, 2010.
