Dear Friends,
2011 is the "Year of Innovation" for us at TREP$. We know that you are looking for ways to help these aspiring young entrepreneurs create innovative and useful products. We are going to do everything we can to help! We've redesigned the back cover of the book with great tips of where to go for inspiration.
The "Spotlight" submissions have been pouring in! With these creative minds and the follow-through to get the job done, these kids are ones to watch! We highlight a few each month in the newsletter and then added them to the site. It's another great place for kids to look for inspiration and ideas. Many 'treps have been featured in Future CEO Stars Magazine too! Click the link on the sidebar to check it out!
Thanks so much for all you do, Pamela and Hayley email us

Thank You
The New Year is always a good time to reflect on where you are- and consider your goals for the year. We at TREP$ are so happy that the program has reached so many children. When we started the program for the students at our own children's school, we had no idea that thousands of kids would someday call themselves 'treps. How wonderful. Thank you for all your support in spreading the word about this program.

Meet Michael, of "Michael's Magnets"
Hi. My name is Michael. I am a 9 year old boy from Ryerson Elementary School. I am the owner of Michael's Magnets. When I started TREP$ I tried to think of all the things I like to do. My favorite thing is climbing rocks. So I thought about doing something with rocks. But what? Click Here to read more. |
Meet Will and Cory of "VAIN"
Hi. This is Will & Cory. We made T-Shirts for our TREP$ Marketplace on Monday. We had a tough time with making them and also selling them. This is our story:
We first designed our T-Shirts on our computer. The first design was flaming letters that said "VAIN". But when we brought it to the printer guy, he said "sorry need to make an outline on it." That's when everything went downhill. We only had 2 weeks left. So we ran home jumped on the computer and started all over.

Meet Victoria, Lindsey and Olivia, of "Eko Chicks"
Our names our Victoria, Lindsey, and Olivia and we all go to Lounsberry Hollow Middle school in Vernon, N J. It took us awhile to decide what we were going to do for the marketplace. First we wanted to do tye-dye T- shirts, but we then realized that it would cost a lot of money and we wouldn't have much profit when it was all said and done. So we tried to think of a product that would require minimal expenses. Then it came to us, recycled items! They don't cost any money and they help the world at the same time! So, we thought this was a great idea and decided to go along with it. We made chip bag wallets, rings, and purses. Click here to read more. |
Meet Steven, of "Rock Frontier"
My name is Steven and I'm a 12 year old student from Lounsberry Hollow Middle School. At first, I did not know what to make for the TREP$ Marketplace. Then it hit me: why don't I sell the music that I have been making for a few years. About 2 years ago, I discovered a program that could allow me to record and mix music tracks. I ran with the idea and made a song.
