New School Year Brings New Opportunities!
Dear friends,

We are so excited to WELCOME the New School Year!!!  With school in session, there will be more opportunities to help children explore their potential through creating and launching their own small businesses, building skills and self awareness while making lasting memories~
The support of those around us, confirming the importance of giving children the opportunity to learn and practice 21st century skills, has fueled our growth and encouraged us in our mission to empower more children through the powerful experience of entrepreneurship.

TREP$ joins the National Action Agenda for 21st Century Skills

To give our students the education they need to succeed in the world that awaits them, we must develop ways to understand the criteria needed for their success. The Partnership for 21st Century Skills has put forth these National Action Agenda Principles to clearly define and advance 21st century skills and education in the U.S. Their goal is to seek out and develop ways in which states, school districts, educators, organizations and policy makers can collaborate to build an education system that better prepares our students for the world that awaits them.

As a program that allows children to learn and practice many of the individual skills listed in the 21st Century Skills Framework, TREP$ has joined as a signatory to the National Action Agenda on 21st Century Skills.

Kid Entrepreneur Builds iPhone App
Two young brothers turn their school math lessons into an iPhone app.
Owen Voorhees may seem like an unlikely tech entrepreneur because he's just 11-years old. But for the last nine months he climbed a mountain of doubt, overcame unfamiliar programming languages and poured over college level computer science textbooks--all to develop his very own iPhone application. Last month, his app, MathTime, debuted in the App Store and quickly rose to No. 13 in the paid, educational apps section.
