It's the Weekly What? for Friday, March 30th.

Time to start thinking about chocolate eggs and Peeps and stuff!

You know: "Here comes Peter Cottontail; Hoppin' down the...something trail; Something something um..." Ah, we forget how that goes. Point is, Easter is right around the proverbial corner. And you know what that means! Yes! We all turn our attention to Peeps. Other candy, too, but mostly Peeps. We've got some more great stuff for you this week: recipes, tips for home and office, boss avoidance techniques, and... as always there's tons more on our Facebook page. So when you're done reading, head on over and leave an answer to the Weekly What? question: "What's your favorite Easter treat?"

Oh no! More Pinterest? Oh yes!

In our final installment on getting started with Pinterest for fun and marketing, we'll explore some basic strategies for using Pinterest to support your brand and further engage with your audience. Don't worry, since Pinterest is so much fun to use, this won't be terribly boring. Read more >>

Time for Peeps!

It's almost time for everyone's favorite sugar-encrusted, puffed-sugar confection. Seriously, Peeps give us so much: sustenance, science experiments, art, and more! The least we can do is note this homage to the lowly, versatile, selfless Peep. Peeps! Peeps! Peeps! >>

Learn useful stuff about all that tech you've got laying around!

Are you getting the most out of your iPhone? Your Mac? iTunes? Want to learn how to set up a home network? How about Linux? Want to discover all the cool resources for music and movies on the Internet? There's a free guide for that. Seriously, you're guaranteed to discover at least a few new things from each of these 15 FREE guides. These are so cool and chock full of great stuff that we'd like to make the "FREE" text blink. But we won't. Because that's so 1995. Go find out how to do more stuff! >>

Typographic Scrabble!

No more boring old tiles with that awfully bland typeface. Now we have what amounts to Scrabble in a black turtle neck! Bazillion word score! >>

Make your own chocolate eggs!

We LOVE chocolate eggs. Making our own? Generally we're too lazy to do this sort of thing, but these chocolate eggs look totally brag-worthy and will freak your friends out with their sheer awesomeness! Check it out! >>

Here's a perfect example of how limitations can stimulate creativity

Get a load of this gallery of Coke container designs. Sure, there's bottles in there, cans too. But some of the designs veer off into crazy, exciting new directions. Unfortunately some of them are only conceptual and will likely never see a store shelf. But it's amazing what can be done with the relatively small image "real estate" afforded by a bottle or can. Of special note is the photo near the end showing the evolution of the Coke bottle shape over the years. Go see!

The Steve Jobs school of leadership

No such place really exists, not even virtually. And despite what you may think of Steve Jobs, you'll be sure to pick up a thing or two by reading this fascinating article. Doesn't matter what you do or where you may be in an organization, you'll get something out of this. At the very least you'll learn the zen-like secret of creating your own "Reality Distortion Field." It's better than the Jedi Mind Trick, honest! We love the bit about PowerPoint >>

Do you use Adobe Illustrator?

Well then here's something for you! (And if you don't use Illustrator, then please skip ahead to the next non-boring item.) Here's a fantastic round-up of tutorials for creating retro-styled graphics and illustrations. There's more cool AI how-to's than you can shake a stick at. Check it out! >>

DIY tie-dyed eggs! (It's not what you think!)

This is a really cool trick: Use ugly silk ties to make cool-looking Easter eggs! Yeah really. They're "tie-dyed." Get it? Har! Get some ugly ties and make some eggs! >>

Is your slogan effective?

"We're Number 1!"; "Our service is #1!" Contrary to popular belief, touting your awesomeness in your slogan is one of the least effective things you can do. Here's five use-them-now tips for creating an effective slogan for your business. You know, for when you stop reading this newsletter and get back to work! "We're okay and we try fairly hard. Yay!" >>

Finally! Some really good excuses for getting away from your desk!

Next time your boss bumps into you in line at the Starbucks (Ooo! Busted!) just tell her that you're increasing your productivity by temporarily changing your work environment. And promise to forward this awesome article that you just read about how your immediate work space can kill your creativity. See if you can get your boss to expense your iced-double-mocha-latte-frappe-cino! >>
