It's the Weekly What? for Friday, September 9th.
You there. Back to work.
Despite the 90-degree weather we've been having, summer is over. It's time to get back to work, put your nose to the grindstone and all that. To help you out, we've put together a "useful" edition of the newsletter. We've broken up the excruciatingly boring stuff with just a few "fun" links to keep you going. You can visit our Facebook page but you won't enjoy it. While you're there, leave your answer to the Weekly What? question: "What was your most adventurous moment during the summer?"
We'll see you there!
In advertising, sometimes you overlook the obvious
We recently learned a lesson. We did a collective facepalm and realized that we can learn as much from the little "failures" as we can from the big successes. Read on >>
A "love letter" to the Jonny Quest cartoon
We'll start out with a bit of fun nostalgia. Readers of a certain age may remember the original, groundbreaking "Jonny Quest" cartoon. We don't know if he does this sort of thing for a living, but Roger Evans created a stop-motion animated version of the opening sequence, complete with custom made figures, sets, everything! You'll have to see it to believe it. Set course for adventure! >> For some "making of" info be sure to visit Roger Evans' site.
You'll never need to leave the bathroom ever again!
With the "Magic Mirror" in your bathroom, you can get help envisioning what a tie might look like around your neck (no more time-wasting trips to the closet!), get the weather, book appointments (but you'd have to leave the bathroom), and even go shopping. Perfection! Mirror, mirror on the wall... >>
A short break for some useful information

Color really IS important.
I think it's becoming clear that we have a soft spot for infographics. Here's another great one revealing the connection between the usage of color and the decision to buy. Did you know that 85% of shoppers indicated that color was a primary factor in the decision to buy a particular product? Check it out >>

Need to pass a note a couple of cubicles over? Use a tennis ball!
What fun! Turns out that tennis balls are really useful for lots more stuff than just tennis. Most folks know about the laundry trick, but what about office memos? (We hope our friends at The Zella Company enjoy their new intra-office memo delivery system!) Cleaning scuff marks? Massage? Yeah really! All kinds of stuff. Check it out >>
Fun with triangles!
This is kind of like the tennis ball thing: The hidden awesomeness of triangles. It's actually lots of fun to chase around single triangles with your cursor. Fun with triangles >> For even more triangular fun, check this out
