It's the Weekly What? for Caturday, August 26th.

The cats of Muller Design Studio

We thought we'd share the spotlight with our cats this week. Everyone likes to look at cute, fuzzy kitties way more than bleary-eyed, pajama-wearing, coffee-slurping graphic designers anyway. And since cats seem to prefer playing around and/or sleeping a bunch, we thought we'd honor that spirit and basically goof off this issue by serving up nothing but fun and amusing links. If your boss catches you, tell 'em the cats of MDS made you do it. Be sure to visit our Facebook page for even more link-fun and to leave your answer to the Weekly What? question: "Do you have a four-legged office assistant or household helper?"

We'll see you there!

The cats of MDS!

They are our constant companions, our muses, our silent critics. They don't empty the coffee pot and forget to brew more. Indeed they don't drink coffee. They don't steal our lunch from the fridge, although we suspect they'd certainly give it a try if they had opposable thumbs. Read on! >>

Tiny worlds in tiny bottles

Forget ships in bottles. That's so stale. Architectural model maker Akinobu constructs tiny scenes in eensy weensy bottles and sells them on Etsy.com. (Actually there IS a tiny ship in a bottle.) Tiny tiny tiny >>

Archeological find! A clip from the original "Flintstones" cartoon pilot

Yeah, so it's not some amazing new thing, but it is a nice old find and to those of us raised on "The Flintstones" (Apparently it was initially intended to be called "The Flagstones") this is like a glimpse into a parallel universe. And there's going to be a "reboot" in 2013? Watch! >>

Fall is coming and you're soon to have a bunch of leaves just laying around. Here's something to do with them.

Desktop jellyfish tank

If you think watching some goldfish swim around is relaxing, then you haven't watched jellyfish as they drift languidly about. Mesmerizing. Ooooo. Pretty. >>

Man, Internet Explorer is being such a Shatner today.

This infographic neatly sums up the basic personalities of the various web browsers. So who you got browsin' the web for you? Mr. Freeman? The Shatner? Betty White? Figure it out >>

I guess we lied about just fun stuff today.

But this infographic about business cards is pretty fun. In a graphic designer-y way. Take a look >>

The original fake barf is made with a closely-held secret recipe. Really. For 50 years.

Perhaps the secret recipe is the reason why "Whoops" brand fake vomit has enjoyed such longevity. Often imitated but never equaled. Plus: Learn the amusing stories behind its inception. Urrrrgh! >>

The best for last: The Duck Tape "TRON" commercial!

The famous "light cycle" scene from 1982's TRON recreated in stop-motion animation with rolls of colored duct tape. And a surprise ending featuring the "Tron Guy" Jay Maynard! Greetings Program! >>
