It's the Weekly What? for Friday, July 15th.
(Also: It's pizza day!)

Summer gives up after only one week, calling weather in the Pacific Northwest "too changable." Tag team of clouds and rain move back, spreading gloom.

Hey, it was nice while it lasted. Apparently it's time for back-to-school sales and long pants. We're just too depressed to be very funny this week. However, we've got a whopper of a newsletter for you this time around. Our roomful of an infinite number of monkeys has been busy combing the internet tubes for interesting things and they've come back with a TON! Check 'em out! (The links, not the monkeys.) Then head on over to our Facebook page and answer the Weekly What? question: "How would you describe yourself in three words?"

We'll see you there!

Design, not decoration

Apparently you just give it a great big push and dump it right in. Check out this video of large ships being launched. Several times the ship appears as if it's going to flip right over! Watch... if you dare! Ker-sploosh!! >>

You take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have...

Live action "Angry Birds" game

In this promotional event for T-Mobile and their line of smart phones, people could walk up to a booth, pick up a smart phone and play a round of "Angry Birds." The game was translated into real-life action immediately, complete with exploding green pigs! The live band is our favorite element of the show. Wheeee! Ka-pow! >>

You can also watch a the "behind the scenes" video showing how it was conceived and executed. Watch how it was done >>

Office fridges.

Yep, we think you all know what that means. Fuzzy green left-overs. Creamer custody battles. Passive-aggressive notes. Enter >>

Love and happiness in the Facebook age...

We actually sat in front of the computer for an HOUR trying to think of something pithy to intro this story on a failed Facebook "romance" and the resulting lawsuit. But we just couldn't come up with anything. You'll just have to read the article >>

Logo design: "More options are better, right?"

Sometimes "more" is not better. It's just more... more junk, more poor choices to sift through. More time wasted. This blog post is a great summary of one of the pitfalls of cheapo on-line logo "design factories." Read more >>
