Benefits versus features: Telling a non-profit's story.

At the Nonprofit Network Southwest Washington Connections Conference, we got the opportunity to listen to a presentation by Nick Fellers of For Impact | The Suddes Group. He delivered a tremendously interesting presentation on changing the vocabulary that non-profits use. A key point was when he asked the audience to stop thinking about themselves and their organizations as "not-for-profits" and to redefine themselves in terms of what they actually do. Essentially he was asking the audience to start thinking about what they do in terms of "benefits" instead of "features." Read more >>
