 Our GF Hamburger Buns at the Cove
The Cove can now make you one of their great burgers on one of our hamburger buns, and they seem to be going through a lot of them so go check them out. They have been making an effort to help people out with gluten issues for as long as we have been around, and now they are getting their bread from us, and we are pretty excited about it, we are looking forward to getting over there ourselves and giving one of their burgers a try.

 Anzac Biscuits (Cookies)
I had to run this one again, sorry to those who are already bored with our Anzac Cookies, but what I'm hearing is that you aren't getting enough of them, I think it might be because some of the staff, and I won't mention any names, Yvonne, have taken to making ice cream sandwiches out of them. Alright I admit it, I am guilty too. It's probably why I haven't got them up on the website yet. I tell you what though, nothing beats a big lump of vanilla ice cream squished between two of these. Although you might have to ask a couple of times, some of our staff are having a hard time hearing orders on this one.
This has been a long time incoming. The best way to describe this is as an oatmeal cookie, but thinner and way crisper, and it almost has a toffee caramelized consistency, and they are delicious. And before any of the experts ask the oats we use are certified gluten free. Oats are in fact intrinsically gluten free, but they tend to get contaminated by being grown in fields where wheat has been recently grown, or they are milled in the same facility and get contaminated that way. But that isn't the case with these treats. You can pig out on these till your hearts content, but do bear in mind nothing we produce is calorie free.
The magic about these cookies, is that not only is it totally in keeping with the traditional Aussie Anzac bikkie, but Rita has tweeked them that they are not only gluten free, but they are dairy, corn, soy, nut and egg free as well, so totally free of neuro-toxins and all of the big allergens.
Keep an eye out for these on the website, not there yet, but in the mean time you can always order yours the old fashioned way.

Here is a great tip on living a gluten free life style. If you have a member of the family who needs to go gluten free, it is an investment in a great lifestyle for the whole family to go gluten free. Not only is it easier to avoid cross contamination issues in a totally gluten free kitchen than trying to make a dual kitchen work. But most families who make the switch report a huge variety of heath improvements always around, whether they have a diagnosis or not. So consider it carefully, trying to do it the other way, may appear easier in the short term, but if you are going to make it work eventually you will have to make the switch and go for the gluten free kitchen.

Cake of the Month This is one of our baked New York Cheese Cakes, we make them in several flavors, and as always they are hand made out the back from scratch, the crust is always made from our own cookies, and the filling is rich and creamy, no matter what the flavor. Our Lemon flavored one is a big favorite, and of course it is always 100% gluten free. Those who need dairy free. vegan, or fat free, sorry we can't help you on this one.

 News about our Raisin bread
For those of you who are concerned about the sugar they are consuming we have some great news for you. Our Raisin bread has no more sugar in it than our regular bread, to create the extra sweetness we are adding Stevia to the mix, and it is working a treat. And the reduced sugar has produced a much more consistent loaf with way less bubbling, and they taste great too. What more could you possibly want? You don't get raising bread like ours just anywhere you know. |

Our Breads
Golden Flax Bread
This is our regular house bread it's a savory bread, the same that we use for our delicious sandwiches. It's light, it's fluffy it's nutty in taste and soft in texture. It's flavor is derived
from the fresh golden flax seeds that we grind into it every day. It is low in sodium, and low in sugar. It comes in loaves, hamburger buns and pizza bases.
All of our breads, can be sliced, wafer thin for sandwiches,or chunky thick for toasting. They don't crumble before or after freezing. They make excellent croutons and is second to none for french toast.
Raisin Bread
This is a sweet bread that comes in a full size loaf or a bun. It is best described as a breakfast bread. It is lightly sweetened, and also comes with an abundance of raisins.
Rye Loaf
Of course this doesn't have any rye in it, but we messed about with other names, and decided that a rye doesn't taste like rye because of rye, it tastes like it does because of carraway seeds, so lets just call it what it tastes like, and it absolutely has the taste and texture of a German Rye bread, it has to be tried to be believed.
