La Armonia Hermosa Coffee
Les Stoneham and a work team of 4 other people are heading down to Guatemala this week to work on the beneficio "wet processing mill" for the farmers of our La Armonia Hermosa Coffee.
Also, this year's crop has arrived at the roastery. We've been cupping it, and yummm is it good! Such a treat! Come in to the cafe to grab of a cup of the fresh shipment of coffee from this year's harvest. It might have a bean or two in it that Jamie or Les picked straight from the tree!

Leadership Blount - Community Leadership Blend
Leadership Blount strengthens our community by educating and encouraging current and potential leaders for active, life-long community service.
The new class of 2012 will be introduced to alumni and each other at an opening reception and fundraiser at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, at Smithview Pavilion. The Opening Reception is Leadership Blount's major fundraising event and will feature a live auction by Alley Auction Company, a "Heads or Tails" game and a Spirits Wall.
We came up with a new blend for them to hand out as thank-you gifts for speakers, hosts and presenters this year.
For more information about Leadership Blount, contact Executive Director Katherine Best Caputo at katherine@leadershipblount.com. |

Bistro by the Tracks
We'd like to highlight one of our great retailers, Bistro by the Tracks...
"Executive Chef Chester Miller masterfully blends culinary traditions from across the globe with the familiar tastes of East Tennessee. Reviewers say "consistently spectacular" with friendly "non-stuffy" service. Bistro by the Tracks simply is Knoxville's answer to great metropolitan dining."
Stop in and grab a bite to eat, sip some delicious wine and finish the night with a nice cup of coffee. They use French Presses with our full bodied Highlands Blend.

Toe Follies
We aren't always so serious. For example, here's a fun label for a troupe of "Prima Ballerinas who assemble for a week of fun at Folly Beach." They soaked up the summer beach air while sipping on our delicious coffee.

Question of the Month:
What's the best way to prepare coffee? - John Clark = A dark roasted coffee (our Costa Rica or Mexican Pluma) in a French press. (Even better if it's around a campfire).
- Jamie Clark = A cappuccino made with a perfectly pulled shot of espresso and deliciously sweet and creamy frothed micro-foam (especially tasty on a lazy morning sitting on the porch.)
- Audra Hull = "Shots of Little River Espresso pulled from my Nuova Simonelli Appia, one group Espresso Machine that my dear Husband bought for my kitchen counter!"
- Jaimie Matzko = "One of the ever-changing single-origin coffee varieties that we prepare on the Filter Drip Bar at Vienna Coffee House. They're ALL yummy!"
