Completing the Harvest - Micro financing for La Armonia Hermosa!

Vienna Coffee Company is pleased to have many relationship coffees in their coffee line. For these relationships to work they require support. Access to credit is nearly impossible for individual small farmers, but it is essential for them to be able to deliver their coffee to its market. Deeper Roots Development works directly with these farmers to get their coffee to the market, however it takes at least $1,000 in financing per farmer.
2011's harvest of La Armonia Hermosa coffee will need roughly $45,000 in total financing to complete. With loans from individuals like yourself of $1,000 or more, Deeper Roots is able to ensure that farmers receive income for their coffee at the time of harvest and not 6-9 months later when it is sold in the US. This will be their 5th year purchasing a harvest of La Armonia Hermosa coffee with all of the financing coming from individual loans and donations. Deeper Roots is glad to be able to offer a 3% interest for loans this year which is then covered in the sell price of the green coffee by Vienna Coffee Company and their other partnered roasters. Just think, in this economy that interest rate is better than what you will get with most investments.

The Great Great Pines Play at VCH
Come out tomorrow to the Coffee House as the wonderful Great Great Pines delight us with their music. We are very excited to have them come out and share their wonderful talent with us. Every Saturday we have either live music or an open Mic night. Be sure to stop in and see what's playing. The Great Great Pines wrote on their website, "Vienna Coffee House moved in last month on High St near the courthouse, and they are just plain awesome. The space is cozy, the coffee invigorating, and the conversation lively. Best part is we'll be doing a free show there on November 13 (this Saturday)! Show starts at 8pm. This is a very rare chance to see us outside of Knoxville." So come and enjoy!

Busby's Tango Grill
Vienna Coffee Company has added Busby's Tango Grill in Knoxville to their list of wonderful vendors and restaurants. They will be serving our new Kona Blend.
An Urbanspoon reviewer stated, "It's like a high end steakhouse meets Dancing with the Stars. The menu looks incredible, and not as expensive as other restaurants of the same caliber." Check them out and try our new blend.
