NCPF on WRAL: See our Peaceful School pilot site featured on WRAL news that aired on January 22nd at 6pm. Watch it now! |
Dear Friend of NCPF, |
The New Year has begun with opportunities. We are excited about what is on the horizon for our organization. One major effort we are focused on currently is raising funds through GRANTS to support our Peaceful Schools-NC initiative.
The Challenge As part of this process, we have a challenge from board members Harold Kudler and Carroll Heins to raise $2,000 to help pay those engaged in locating, writing and submitting our grants. We have already been successful in raising $1700 of the $2000, but we are asking you, our supporters, to help us raise the remaining $300. Our goal is to submit at least 6 grants worth over $75,000 to support a pilot site in Durham, Wake and possible Charlotte areas.
The Reward If you choose to support this challenge, you will be entered into our monthly raffle to receive a NCPF DVD set of your choice of either our Adapting in Challenging Financial Times or Back Off Bully conference DVDs. These sets are valued at $40!
Taking Action
You may make your donations through our secure online donation page or by mailing your donation to 901 Paverstone Drive, Suite 11, Raleigh, NC 27615. Please make sure to make a note it is for the "GRANT Challenge". As always, we appreciate the generosity of all those who support our efforts in helping to create a more resilient community. |

Board Member "Spotlight" |
During the January NCPF board meeting the nominating committee presented a slate to the board for elections, or in some cases, re-election. The meeting was bittersweet as we welcomed back board members to concurrent service, while saying good-bye to some who have greatly contributed to the Foundation's success.
The board is glad to recognize long time board member, Mr. William (Bill) Jackson, as our new Treasurer. He will serve a one year term.
The board welcomes back the following directors: Harold Kudler, MD for an additional three year term Lida Jeck, MD, PECC liaison, for an additional one year term
The board is grateful to the following for their years of service and all their contributions: Paul Brinich, PhD, Outgoing NCPS President David Neter, CPA, NCPF Treasurer
David Neter, Chief Busness Officer for the Wake County Schools, has agreed to continue his service as a NCPF Advisor. |

We Asked, You Answered |
Thank you to all of those who participated in our January Poll. The winner of the raffle for January's DVD set is Margaret Wilner. Congratulations!
Last month we asked you, our readers, "How frequently should NCPF distribute the Mental Health Professional E-Bulletins? "
Weekly or Bi-Weekly
We asked and you answered. 81% of our readership prefer to receive the once weekly e-bulletin on a bi-weekly basis. Therefore, NCPF will distribute a monthly e-bulletin referred to as our "Monthly Community Newsletter" the first week of each month to our entier e-mail list and a bi-weekly professional e-bulletin on the second and fourth weeks of each month to mental health professionals. In an effort to fine tune the distribution of our newsletters, this month's poll question is what day our readership prefers to receive their emails. We want to get you the news you want on the days you want to read it!
ENTER, ENTER, ENTER, WIN, WIN, WIN This month we will be offering multiple opportunities to all our membership to be entered into this month's raffle. Contact us at 919-847-2323 or e-mail admin@ncpsychoanalysis.org with questions. There are five ways to be entered:
1. Answer the poll question. 2. JOIN NCPF for the 2009-2010 membership year. 3. Make an additional contribution (i.e. grant challenge, PS-NC fund, Raft Fellowship Fund or the CFL fund) 4. Become a monthly contributor using our AutoPay system. 5. Join the 12/12 club by making a 5 year pledge. |
