Save the Date - Next MindPlay in December

Saturday, December 19 and Sunday, December 20
The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby by David Edgar from the Novel by Charles Dickens
Location: 120 Country Club Rd, Chapel Hill, NC 27514 (Paul Green Theatre)
Description: The complete Dickens masterpiece comes to life! In a culture grown tired of the sound bite, we're seeing attention return to great storytelling traditions, and long before new masters such as JK Rowling, there was Charles Dickens, the greatest serial writer of them all. Edgar's adaptation takes us on a thrilling ride, with humor, fantastic turns of fate, and the rich, emotional moments that make up life's astounding journey.

Discussant: Peter Perault, MD

MINDPLAY is a series of psychoanalytic discussions held in the Paul Green Theater immediately after Playmakers performances on selected Saturday evenings and Sunday matinees. A psychoanalyst will explore emotion, character and relationships in the play, and invite lively audience participation.

MINDPLAY discussions are free and open to the public. MINDPLAY is hosted by PlayMakers Repertory Company and sponsored by the North Carolina Psychoanalytic Foundation, Lucy Daniels Foundation and the NC Psychoanalytic Society.

The Carl Jung - Victor White letters explored through live, global seminar: "The Jung-White Letters: A Theatrical Performance and Live Discussion"
Presented by: The Asheville Jung Center in conjunction with the International School of Analytical Psychology - Zurich.

This global seminar will be presented simultaneously in 5 continents and numerous countries.  The program includes live, interactive discussion with one of the world's leading Jungian analyst, Dr. Murray Stein, who teaches and practices in Zurich, Switzerland.

Dr. Stein and other leading analysts fashioned a powerful play from the extensive letters exchanged between Dr. Carl Jung and Father Victor White, a Catholic theologian.  The play explores the stormy relationship between these two men as they struggled over many subjects such as whether God has a shadow and the nature of good and evil.   The play was performed in London & Zurich to rave reviews.

The seminar can be watched from any individual computer. Group showings with the opportunity for more interaction are also being arranged in:  New York City, Evanston, Chicago, Melbourne (Australia), Mexico City, Calgary, Edmonton, Asheville, Omaha, Santa Fe, South Bend, Birmingham, Charlotte,  Cleveland, Sarasota, Wilmington & Flat Rock (NC).

Don't miss the opportunity to take part in this rare event. Seats are limited, so please register soon.  More information and preview trailer at:
