Audio and Video Materials Available NOW for May 30th Program.

Q&A session
We are now taking orders for the audio and video recordings of the event featuring speakers Dr. Vaillant and Dr. Ariely. Included from the morning session will be a CD for Dr. Ariely's presentation and a DVD for Dr. Vaillant's presentation for $25 + $8 S/H. DVDs are available as well for Dr. Vaillant's afternoon session for $25 + $8 S/H.  The cost to purchase both the morning and afternoon sessions is $40 + $8 S/H. We will be happy to waive the shipping and handling fee if you would prefer to stop by our office and pick up your order.

To Renew Your NCPF Membership

NCPF memberships run from July 1 through June 30. Thank you to our 177 2008-2009 members. Gifts we have received since April 1, 2009 will be considered 09-10 memberships.  Those who have been NCPF members this past year know about the wonderful benefits that are available to the Friends of NCPF. Our members combined saved over $4,000 at our May 30th event. All you have to do to continue to receive these benefits, or to  begin receiving these benefits, is to become a NCPF member. All gifts we receive this month will be applied to the 2009-2010 membership year. NCPF is happy for members to apply their contribution to specific funds or programs. For a list of available funds please see the side bar.

Increasing Your Impact with Couples

Presented by: NC Chapter of the National Assoc. of Social Workers 
Speaker: Stephen Hawthorne, LCSW, hawthorne1000@earthlink.net
Descripton: The basic concepts and interventions used in ABC Therapy (ABCT), a model that integrates Emotionally-Focused and Cognitive-Behavioral therapies. ABCT is extremely effective in rapidly helping couples create a more satisfying and intimate relationship. Stephen Hawthorne will teach and demonstrate the concepts and techniques used in ABCT that rapidly identify and begin to change the destructive communication patterns that couples unconsciously create and get stuck in.
The day will be a mix of lecture, video demonstration, and working in small groups to practice the demonstrated ABCT techniques.
Fee: $120.00 (NASW Members: $102)
