Greetings!
In February 2010, a steering committee coordinated several events during Freedom to Marry Week, to coincide with annual rallies held by PDN in Allentown and UUPLAN in Harrisburg, as well as with Valentine's Day.With an increase in events came increased exposure, and LGBTFreedomWeekPA.org was able to further the cause of LGBT equality through discussion and education.Approximately 50 organizations in Pennsylvania, including the LGBT Community Center Coalition of Central PA, became supporters.
For 2011, the scope of Freedom to Marry Week is increasing to include more LGBT issues. It is the steering committee's hope that by supporting equality across the board, the strength and power of all LGBT causes can be captured and moved forward.
