Thanks to everyone who supported FAB 2010!

FAB 2010 was a wonderful celebration. Those who attended were able to hear from community leaders Ashley McLaughlin, Rachel Watson, and Jesse Egner about how our programming with youth through Common Roads has impacted their lives; to witness the announcement of and remarks from from our new Executive Director Donna Rose (see more below); and celebrate the great work of FAB honorees Carol and Bill Sizemore, Paul Foltz, and Ashley McLaughlin.

Committee members, table captains, attendees, advertisers, sponsors, in-kind donors, and the helpful staff at the Hershey Lodge all played a role in making FAB 2010 a celebration to remember. Specifically, thanks to the following in-kind donors for their generous donations that went into each of our 125 VIP swag bags:

Char's Bella Mundo ($35 gift certificates)
Mangia Qui ($25 gift certificates)
Kaplan's Cleaners ($10 gift certificates)

Thanks once more to our sponsors:

We are pleased to welcome Donna Rose to central Pennsylvania, as she will join the LGBT Community Center as its first Executive Director starting November 1st.

Over the past ten years, Donna has established a reputation as a nationally respected leader, spokesperson, and advocate for LGBT rights, for LGBT dignity, and for a broader sense of community based on recognition that all fair-minded people are in this together.

That reputation has been forged by involvement at all levels of LGBT rights work -- as the first transgender Board Member for organizations like the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), and the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC). Donna is directly responsible for some of the workplace policy standards which form the foundation of LGBT workplace best practices in this country and affect the lives of thousands of LGBT workers each and every day, and has worked at the grass-roots level with activists from across the country to coordinate, communicate, and educate.

Donna's efforts have been featured in DiversityInc, USA Today, Fortune, Pink Magazine, The Advocate, Investors Business Daily; on CNN and Entertainment tonight; and in any number of national and local media.
