Greetings,June is here and Pride season is officially upon us. On Tuesday, June 8th, Lancaster's Mayor Gray and City Council will declare June LGBT Pride Month. Lancaster Pride will follow on Saturday, June 19th, from noon-6:00 pm in Buchanan Park. Check out Lancaster Pride's website for more information on the event, and their events page with everything you'll need to know about leading up to Pride. Lancaster Pride is also looking for volunteers for the day of the event. Contact Erica Millner, volunteers@lancasterpapride.com, to sign up. In the meantime, there are a number of ways to get connected in the community this month with special events and ongoing programs. Be sure to read all about them below. Lancaster Pride Art Auction and Wine Tasting  Twenty-six fabulous local artists have donated their work for this silent auction celebrating art,
culture and diversity in the city on Tuesday, June 8 from 5:30-9:30 pm. Join the group at Crush Wine
Bar at Carr's and Hagar Arcade, 50 West Grant Street, Lancaster. The silent auction ends at 9:00 pm, and there is free admission.
Guests will also have the chance to sample Pennsylvania wines from three
wineries in the Red Rose Tasting Room, presented by Tamanend Winery.

Hiking at Colonel Denning State Park
The Center's Outdoors Club is heading to Perry County for our June event! Join us for an afternoon of Hiking at Colonel Denning
State Park, 1599
Doubling Gap Rd,
Newville.
This is a moderate hike. The Flat
Rock Trail is 2.5 miles, The Doubling Gap Trail is 1 mile. The Hiking and Nature Trail Guide is available at the park office and
has a map and detailed description of the hiking trails in the park and
surrounding forest lands. Late
spring is considered one of the best times to hike in this area.

Harrisburg Men's Chorus presents... "Because It's June"
Check out the Chorus's performance "Because It's June" on either Saturday, June 12th at 8:00 pm or Sunday,
June 13th at 2:00pm. The concerts will take place at the Harrisburg Maennerchor, 221 North Street. Tickets cost $15, for ticket information call (717) 236-3809 or email info@harrisburgmenschorus.org. The purpose of the Harrisburg Men's Chorus is to
provide musical training and worthwhile performance experiences for its
members; to provide a cultural experience and entertainment for
its audiences; to exemplify and enhance the status of
male choral singing as a significant art form by achieiving the highest
standards of excellence in presenting a diversity of music; and to
provide an opportunity for gay and gay-supportive men to build community
spirit by singing together to present positive aspects of being gay to
themselves, their audiences, and the public at large.
